Sergio Ramos equals best personal goal numbers at this stage of the campaign

The defender has tallied four strikes this year, reaching his numbers of the 2007/08 and 2008/09 campaigns

Sergio Ramos tallied his fourth strike this season with a header against Getafe. The defender has so far scored three goals in La Liga and one in the Champions League, and he's also the seventh top scorer in the team behind Cristiano Ronaldo, Higuain, Benzema, Di Maria, Kaka and Callejon. Ramos' goal scoring numbers at this stage of the season are the same as in the 2007/08 and 2008/09 campaigns.

Ramos' impressive physicality and excellent aerial game allow him to net strikes despite being a defender. He has tallied 36 since joining the team in 2005, scoring six goals in each of his first four seasons and four in the latest two.

Valencia, Granada, Getafe and Olympique Lyonnais have been Sergio's victims this year. He has netted two strikes on the road and one at the Bernabeu in 1,798 minutes of playing time in La Liga this campaign.

Two of Ramos' goals in the league have been decisive in the team taking points. He scored the team's third strike against Valencia on the 72-minute mark, giving them a 3-2 win at Mestalla. His header against Getafe on Saturday (17') was the only goal in the match. He also contributed to the Whites' 5-1 and 4-0 victories over Granada and Olympique Lyonnais at the Bernabeu. These impressive numbers establish him as one of the top scoring defenders in Real Madrid history.

Sergio on the covers of Marca and AS on Sunday:

Sergio analysed the match against Getafe in the mixed zone:

Ramos: "The merit belongs to collective work and that's what's going to help us win titles"
"It's been a tough game against an opponent that always makes things hard for us; what matters is we faced up to the challenge"
Sergio Ramos scored the victory goal for Real Madrid in Getafe. The defender analysed the match in the mixed zone.
"It's been a tough game against an opponent that always makes things hard for us. Knowing how to suffer is also important. What matters is we faced up to the challenge. The 1-0 score is enough to take three points. This motivates us to fight more in the league and to keep up the good work."

"The season is very long. We will continue to try enlarging our lead over the runners-up and to do things well. We truly deserved to win tonight despite how hard the match was and how difficult Getafe made things for us. It's hard to take points against them and I'm very happy we took three."

"I'm very happy with the season I'm having. I'm finding balance both personally and physically, and I hope to continue performing at this level at Real Madrid for many years."

"We're practicing on set pieces like the one I scored from and they're working out for us. It's important to be focused in set pieces to hurt opponents in attack."

"It's good to be regular throughout the season, but the merit belongs to collective work, which is what's going to help us win titles."

"Teams will not make things easy for us in the league and each game will be more difficult because they all have objectives to achieve. We must continue to work with humility because we all benefit when we win. We're doing a good job and I'm sure this dynamic will bring us much success."

... that first pic on his way to the training session ...
it's like a flashback when his hair was still fabulous by default (and not by luck like it is today), the beard was only a dooming shadow of the future and his facial features stuck so beautifully between boy and man.
this is the stuff poems should be written about. or maybe not. ... he looks gorgeous, either way.

Poor thing...*lol*

I have to confess, I still have a problem to do this entries...they are so long and I don't know how comfortable they are to read...
Is it better to start with the actual date and going back during the entries, or should I start with the oldest date?
Is it comfortable with that many cuts on the starting site on of the entry?

Feedback would be nice! ♥

The links are actually really helpful because it summarizes what's in the post so people know right away and also they can jump straight to the section they want, or read the whole post if they want.

If you feel like one entry is too much, maybe split it in two. One for his "business" like training, interviews, team call ups, etc. The other for "personal" like twitter, random pictures to drool over and tattoos.

As far as date order of entries, I prefer oldest to newest because sometimes his most recent tweets relate to an older one and I get confused if I read the new one without reading the old one. But you might want to ask other members to see what they prefer. If it was newest to oldest, I'd be okay with that too :) Whatever is easiest for you, really since you're doing all the hard work

I think the same...

That was the basic idea...[info]sashaj22 wanted to do the twitter-postings, but she often has no time.
I make some notes on a OpenOffice document before I start with the entry, so it is easier.
Maybe I will split the entries from time to time, when there is some shirtless pic or whatever..

This is my favourite style too. Problem is my office document, I have to start with the last event, but I think I can do this.;)
I will do a mod posting soon, maybe some members or lurkers are wondering why I post only 2 times a week and why they can not do entries. Then I will ask what they think now.

Thanks bb♥

I totally agree with sumrndmgrl's comment. The list of cuts makes it easy to see exactly what's in the post. If you want to split into two, her suggestion is a great idea, but I didn't feel overwhelmed, just thankful for all of the information :). I totally appreciate all of this. I've been sort of MIA from LJ for a while, and I just was catching up on my friends page, saw this wonderful post, and wondered why on earth i'd been gone so long, so thanks again!
